ON THE TURN
so, what is ontheturn?
and who is 'josef chaire'?
and why rip off the talking heads/ paul morley school of sleeve note writing?
ontheturn is, quite obviously, a [self-indulgant] 'web-log'. or, to use the whizz-kid's parlance blog.
it is less about the 21st century adventures of 'josef chaire' than it is about what he thinks.
ontheturn is fuck all to do with the cranberries. instead it takes its name from a fragment of football commentary-'keane shoots on the turn ' or some such. the name is, therefore, largely insignificant.
like so many other blogs, ontheturn largely regurgitates and reconstructs popular culture. badly. sport gets the same treatment, and from time to time, so do current affairs, but much less often. but with more bitterness.
ontheturn does recount some of josef's adventures. ontheturn probably does include some decent content. ontheturn has been known to feature high-falluting, highbrow thinking. largely, though, ontheturn is just a bunch of random swearing and agression.
ontheturn is written by 'josef chaire'.
josef chaire is a pseudonym. as is alderman alfred logan. and preston errwood. and slack alice. and shitloads more.
why bother with anonymity?
why bother with anonymity when the vast majority of readers of ontheturn were directed there by me, personally?
but i want to, sowhy the fuck not?
all of the above live in manchester or sheffield, depending on the time of year. and it is an arangement them suits them/me very well, thankyou very much.
'josef chaire' is [at present] a self-important 21-year old [south] manchester native, in the second year of studying politics in sheffield [at the proper university].
'josef chaire' has precious little to do with his time. so actively welcomes interaction from ontheturn's [tiny] readership.
josef chaire is also fucking fed up with writing in the third person, fearing he is coming across as a pretentious twat. because he never acts like that, oh no...
